On Friday, March 26,  we went to St. Paul's Church in North Mankato and got checked in with all the people from
New Ulm and Gibbon and Mankato and Nicollet.  After that we had a snack and a devotion, and then we watched
all the cars race and some trucks.  Jesse's car won first place for design and for speed, and my shark car won
second place in design!  And it was fun!

We are very happy to announce that these men have agreed to join our program:  Pete Kramer and Jeremy Rieke
will serve as leaders, and Mark Niebuhr will replace Dean Bruns as Pioneer Council Chairman.  The Pioneers all
look forward to learning new skills with their help!  We are still in need of replacements for Nicole Rieke as
Treasurer and for the Vice Chairman position.  Many thanks to Dean and Nickie for their years of faithful service!

We still urgently need to borrow some equipment for an outing at Clear Lake on May 23:  canoes, paddles, a
rowboat, oars, and/or life jackets.   Please let a Pioneer leader know as soon as possible if you can loan us any of
this.  Thanks!
 

Needed: 180 squ. feet of gold or silver wrapping paper in new condition for a craft project.

Reminder to all Pioneers:  Contact Naomi Evenson by May 16 to let her know whether you have or need a life
jacket. The next meeting is Sunday, May 23 from 2-4 pm.  Please come with your ideas for next year's meetings
and activities!
